Time and again it is stated from a political side, that Denmark and the Nordic countrie should focus on and increase their efforts within the experience economy in the future.
Music, for instance, can act as a growth lever in a range of industries in need of setting the wheels turning again after the worst recession since World war II.
The conference KreaNord is an important initiative in improving the framework conditions of the creative industries in the Nordic countries and in strengthening the Nordic region’s position as a creative region.
- In the future we will have to live by coming up with something new, by innovating and creating things. And in that respect the cultural industries have something unique to offer, was recently stated in the Danish newspaper Børsen by Brian Mikkelsen, the Danish Minister of Economic and Business Affairs
The conference is meant to strengthen collaboration between the different initiatives of the Nordic countries and to establish a forum for debate and exchange.
At the conference you will meet people from the forefront of the creative industries, the educational system, and policy makers of the Nordic countries for a day of discussion and key note speeches. A day that will result in concrete recommendations for the broader implementation of the three Nordic policy initiatives.
The conference accommodates 300 participants, including politicians and government officials from the Nordic Region’s Ministries of Culture and Ministries of Economic and
Business Affairs, business and industry organizations, and key figures from the creative industries. In addition, the Nordic Ministers of Economic and Business Affairs and Minsters of Culture are invited to participate.
There will be great opportunities for interviews of politicians, industry representatives, and leading scholars within the Experience Economy at the conference.
